Canoe &Kayak – Ardèche Gorges

The canoe and kayak activity offered by the Lodge is exclusively reserved for hotel guests, ensuring a private and intimate experience on the Ardèche River.

Visiting the Ardèche would not be complete without experiencing canoeing in the Ardèche Gorges.

This fun descent includes the famous canoe slides and finishes in the protected natural site of the Pont d’Arc, passing under the iconic natural arch.

Departure is from Le Silex at 10:00 AM, returning during the afternoon.
This route is perfect for a nature outing with a picnic and is an excellent introduction before a full-day descent.

Full Gorges Descent – 28 km

Departure: 9:00 AM – return around 5:30 / 6:00 PM

The Ardèche Gorges full descent is internationally renowned and hosts the famous Ardèche Gorges Marathon.

Departure takes place before 10:00 AM from the lodge beach.
A picnic should be prepared for the day.

Upon arrival in Saint-Martin-d’Ardèche, we will welcome you with cold drinks and dry clothes before returning to the lodge.

All river activities may be cancelled by the Lodge du Pont d’Arc for safety reasons.

The Ardèche River is a natural river with conditions that may change quickly.

Routes including canoe slides, such as the 12 km descent, may be modified or cancelled depending on weather conditions or local authorities’ safety regulations.
