Maquis Room

Named after the cave located in the Cirque d’Estre in the Ardèche Gorges, where numerous archaeological discoveries were made – including spindle whorls, an intact ceramic vase, pottery fragments, millstones, and a bronze dagger – this room reflects the rich human history of this protected natural site.

These discoveries bear witness to human presence in the Ardèche Gorges from the Neolithic period through to the French Resistance fighters (Maquis) during World War II, making this area one of the most historically significant landscapes in Southern Ardèche.

This 30 m² accommodation in Vallon-Pont-d’Arc includes a 12 m² private terrace, ideal for enjoying the peaceful natural surroundings.

The room features a 140 cm double bed, a bathroom with Italian walk-in shower, a river-stone sink, and a separate toilet, combining natural materials with modern comfort.
